Series with Mariners kicks off tonight
The Cleveland Indians (73-56, 1st AL Central) managed to take game two of their four game stand against the Texas Rangers (77-54, 1st AL West) with an explosive 12-1 victory. They could manage only one score in the following two games. In last night’s 2-1 loss, the Tribe’s Danny Salazar gave up two runs and struck out 10 in 5 1/3 innings.
While the Indians go back home to face the Minnesota Twins, the Rangers will host the Seattle Mariners (68-62,tied 2nd AL West) tonight, the beginning of a three game home stand followed by a three game stand against the Houston Astros (68-62, tied 2nd AL West)
