The way things currently stand with the Texas Rangers of the American League West, Manager Ron Washington does not have a contract extending past 2014 and, Washington does not seem to be bothered by that fact.
“I’m not worried about that,” Washington said after working at a week-long winter camp at Rangers Ballpark. “That will take care of itself.”
In other Rangers news, the franchise came to terms with LHP Rafael Perez on a minor league contract with a spot at Spring Training. Perez underwent shoulder surgery in 2012 and has not played in the majors since.
